Marcin is a graduate of the prestigious Warsaw School of Economics majoring in Finance and Banking. He was brought up in a family where a fluent knowledge of English was a given thus anticipating the replacement of Russian by English as the language of choice.
In 2002 he joined PKGT Audyt (then the Polish Grant Thornton member firm) where he was responsible for the audit and advisory services to foreign owned companies. At Grant Thornton he worked on the accounts both of major multinationals as well as privately owned businesses. He completed the Grant Thornton International young partner development programme and also gained experience of SOX compliance work.
In 2013 Marcin became an equity partner in PKGT Audyt and is responsible for a portfolio of clients in the property investment and manufacturing sectors. He is a strong advocate of value added audits and believes that auditors should and must assist their clients as trusted advisers and business partners whilst at the same time maintaining independence and objectivity.
Prior to joining Grant Thornton Marcin worked for Spectrum Colors which was the local implementer of Sage accounting software and where he was responsible for development and implementation. The experience has proven invaluable in advising clients on ensuring that their Polish accounting systems are compliant with regulations and also are capable of producing reliable and timely management information. He has recently completed a project for a medium sized heavy steel construction company implementing costing systems.
Marcin is a keen sportsman (skiing, tennis, windsurfing) and can occasionally be seen roller blading in the more trendy parts of Warsaw.
