In 1989 as Poland started the process of transformation to a market economy Andrew packed his bags, left the UK and moved to Poland where he started a business advisory practise which in 1993 was invited to join the Grant Thornton global network of accountants and business consultants. In the 18 years during which Andrew was the managing partner of Grant Thornton he helped companies such as Heinz, United Biscuits, Kingspan Group, Cadbury’s, Thyssen Krupp, Kapp Ahl, Marks & Spencer CEE among many others invest more than 1 billion Euro in the Polish economy.

Andrew is a graduate of the London School of Economics, a UK chartered accountant and holds the Polish audit qualification.

In 2008 Andrew took the decision to concentrate on providing value added consulting, high level advisory, strategic tax planning and project coordination services to existing and new entrants to the Polish market. Building on two decades of experience of heading up Grant Thornton, Andrew continues to ensure that clients gain real value from audit, due diligence, outsourced accounting and tax advisory services. 

As a trusted and respected member of the Warsaw ex patriate community, a fluent Polish speaker and with 25 years experience in Poland Andrew has built up an extensive network of business contacts which he makes available to his clients. These contacts include banks, investment funds as well as business professionals across all areas of expertise and covering all business sectors.

Who we are:

The managing partner of PKGT Audyt, Andrew Kinast has over 20 years of experience of the Polish market. He was one of the first Western professionals to move to Poland.

As a qualified UK Chartered Accountant and Polish state registered auditor, Andrew set up and then ran the Grant Thornton practise in Poland for 18 years, handing over to Grant Thornton Frackowiak in 2008.
Over the years Andrew has helped many Western multinationals, privately held businesses and individual investors who have successfully invested more than 1 billion Euro in the Polish economy and continues to act as a trusted adviser to many of them.
Andrew sees himself first and foremost as a coordinator of services provided by fellow professionals so as to ensure that clients receive the best possible advise and assistance specifically tailored to their particular needs and circumstances.
